The desired range for total alkalinity should be maintained based on the type of pool: Fiberglass Pools should be between 70-100 ppm, Marcite, Painted, Tile, or Exposed Aggregate Pools should be between 80-120 ppm, and Vinyl Pools should be between 120-140 ppm.

If the total alkalinity falls below the desired range, add this product directly to the pool water while the pump is in operation, following the instructions provided. By adding 11 ounces of this product, it can raise the alkalinity by 10 ppm per 5,000 gallons of water. This helps prevent equipment corrosion and damage to plaster surfaces.
