This product is compatible with most swimming pool chemicals and is not harmful to the metal, paint, plastic, or non-porous glazed tile surfaces of the pool when used as directed. There is no need for special equipment to treat swimming pool water. The correct use dilution can be added directly to the pool or to the water-circulation equipment. For best results, pour this product directly into the water around the outside perimeter of the pool. Wait at least 15 minutes after applying before allowing swimming in the pool. It is important to ensure that all pool equipment is functioning properly. Follow the manufacturer's directions to backwash the filter system. The pH should be adjusted between 7.2-7.6, and the chlorine residual should be adjusted to 1-3 ppm. In a pool treated with chlorine, add stabilizer to maintain a minimum level of 40-50 ppm and reduce the degradative effects of sunlight on the chlorine residual. Check for metals and use a stain and scale inhibitor if they are present to prevent staining of the pool surface. Recheck the chlorine residual and adjust to 1-3 ppm, if necessary. To remove algae, follow these steps: 1. Thoroughly backwash the filter. 2. Use a vacuum to remove algae debris and thoroughly brush the pool. 3. Add 5.2 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water. 4. After 24 hours, vacuum the pool again to remove dead algae. 5. If algae are still visible, repeat steps 3 and 4 until the pool is free of visible algae. 6. Once the algae are under control, clean the filter and return it to normal operation. For maintenance, add 1.28 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water every 3-5 days. In hot weather or during heavy pool use, the maintenance dose may need to be added more frequently. For a booster dose, add 1.28 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water after heavy or prolonged rainfall or during periods of heavy bathing. It is important to follow these instructions even when the pool is not in use. If algae growth is noticeable, apply the initial dose. This product efficiently inhibits algae growth and keeps pool water sparkling and clear of visible green and blue-green algae, slime, and green-brown colors. Adjust the pH between 7.2-7.6, and the chlorine residual to 1-3 ppm. This product is suitable for all pool types, including vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, and gunite. It is a non-metallic algaecide that prevents and kills algae.
